Born in Ternaard on 13 April 1954.
Grew up in Allingawier between 1958 and 1966.
Moved to Meerkerk in 1966.
Returned to Friesland, to Dronrijp in 1970.

Educated at agricultural school and in food technology.

Married to Dineke
3 children 3 stepchildren and 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren

Lived in Dronrijp, Franeker and Wommels, now living in Dokkum.

Worked in the dairy industry for 30 years.

Reformed by birth.
Became a believer at Youth for Christ in Franeker in 1972.
Baptised in 1992.
Called full-time from 2012.
